WHY IS MY ESPRESSO MACHINE DEAD?
Is the power supply on?
Is the boiler heater switch on?
Is the timer (if there is one) in sleep or standby mode?
WHY IS NOTHING COMING OUT OF THE GROUP HEAD?
Is the water supply turned on? (Pressure gauge reads 2 bar)
Is the pump working? (Pressure gauge reads 1.3 bar on extraction)
Is the correct filter basket in the group head?
Is the grind way too fine?
WHY IS THERE NO HOT WATER?
Is the boiler pressure at 1.2 – 1.3 bar?
Is the hot water tap blocked?
Is the boiler level ok? (If machine has a sightglass)
Is the hot water tap knob attached properly?
WHY IS MY COFFEE COLD?
Is the boiler up to temperature? (is pressure gauge 1.2 bar)
Is the portafilter cold? Has it been locked into the group head?
Is the cup cold? Has it been on the cup warmer?
